Find out how and where to buy tickets to the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics in British Columbia, Canada.

The city of Vancouver, BC is gearing up for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. The first phase of ticketing is already closed, but Canadian hopefuls can still buy tickets to the 2010 games in mid-2009.

Venues in Vancouver and Whistler are still being built and some are even finished. Hot tickets to the most popular sporting events, like ice hockey, ski jumping, speed skating, curling and snowboarding will be within reach again half way through this year.

Buying Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics Tickets

For Canadians, the best way to buy 2010 games tickets is to sign up on-line for a ticketing account. Subscribers receive the latest updates on ticket releases and news on the next phase of ticketing.

Tips for Buying 2010 Olympics Tickets

  • Sign up for an on-line ticketing account (link above)
  • Choose a variety of venues and sporting events to increase chances of getting the most desired tickets
  • Organizers recommend attending a maximum of one event per day, so plan ticket purchasing accordingly
  • Make sure the retailer is an official ticketing agent

“We encourage everyone to be vigilant about individuals or companies offering ‘guaranteed’ tickets for sale. For most people even a ‘money back’ guarantee is little consolation for the disappointment, inconvenience and embarrassment they’ll experience if they discover at the gate their ticket is invalid,” said Caley Denton, VANOC vice-president ticketing and consumer marketing.

“We are continuing to work with our partner tickets.com on an authorized ticket resale program where people will be able to offer their tickets for sale, and customers will be able to buy with confidence knowing our bar code technology has confirmed the tickets are legitimate.”
