The Best Richmond Hotels in BC, CanadaVancouver Airport Accommodation has Free Shuttles & Business Centres
What are the best Richmond hotels in BC, Canada? Find accommodations near the Vancouver Airport that have free shuttles, business centres and wireless internet service.
Below is a list of reviews of some of the best Richmond, BC hotels in Canada. They are all near the Vancouver International Airport, have free shuttles, business centres and access to wireless internet services. They are also located in the heart of downtown Richmond, so access to fabulous Asian cuisine, shopping and things to do are easy. In general, Richmond hotels are clean, modern and well priced (compared to downtown Vancouver). Note that many are housed in older buildings, so upgrades are constant and some parts of the hotels still need much work. The majority of extensive renovations are slated to be completed in time for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games. Sandman Signature Hotel Vancouver AirportArguably the classiest Richmond hotel, the Sandman Signature Vancouver Airport has undergone a complete overhaul and is still being renovated (a Shark Club Sports Bar & Grill and Steve Nash Sports Club are being built beside the hotel and the in-house gym will get a major facelift). Other amenities include three tennis courts, three pools, two squash courts, a café and coffee shop, free wireless internet and 438 rooms to choose from. The staff favourite is the elegant Chop Steak Fish Bar.
Sheraton Vancouver Airport HotelOnce the Best Western Richmond Hotel and known to locals as the old Richmond Inn, the Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel has also gone through a major renovation project. As well as updating their rooms to sleek and modern styles (the courtyard-facing rooms are still original, and cheaper), they have renovated the rest of the building, too. A welcome addition is the new Harold’s restaurant. Named after a long time guest, this restaurant is good for both seniors out for Sunday brunch and 20-somethings watching the game. Somehow a sense of the old community still lives on in this new version of the hotel.
Executive Airport Plaza Hotel VancouverThis hotel is the closest to the Olympic Oval (venue for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics) and is one block away from the Olympic Centre. Rooms are basic and not highly stylized, but provide all the small comforts. Business facilities are the name of the game at the Executive Plaza. There is over 17,000 square feet of banquet and convention space, 16 meeting rooms and enough space to host 600 people. Also onsite are the Carver’s Steakhouse and Tivoli’s restaurants.
Days Inn Vancouver Airport HotelSimplicity is the key at Days Inn. 66 rooms are made up basically and cleanly, with wheelchair accessible rooms as well. Although not fancy, the property has friendly staff and an ultra casual experience. Freebies with each reservation are breakfast, computers in King rooms, wireless internet throughout and parking. For those on a budget, this hotel is great value.
Radisson Hotel Vancouver AirportAn upscale hotel, the Radisson is in a prime location across the street from the popular Aberdeen Centre (with lots of yummy restaurants). A nice pool and fitness centre are available for the health buffs, while foodies can indulge in Fresh Restaurant and Lounge or Red Star Restaurant. Dark wood and fluffy bedding entice travellers to the rooms, which are also equipped with neat Sleep Number Beds (use a remote to get just the right firmness or softness and use that number on any Sleep Number Bed).
